BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Please read the following information before you start using our online classes:

POP-UPS

I've heard about pop-ups (blocker). What is this?

Most browsers have pop-ups turned off by default, to avoid unwanted advertising messages to pop up. Our online classes, however, are launched in a new window, which your browser considers to be a pop-up. If your pop-up blocker is turned on, the class will not launch. Allow pop-ups whenever you are launching our classes.

HOW TO EXIT A CLASS

Please use the X button in the bottom left corner of your online class screen every time you exit! This is very important to keep in mind. If you use the X button on your browser instead (i.e., quit your browser window), the software may not remember the last location you were at in the class, or not report your scores correctly.

ADOBE FLASH PLAYER

Why do I need Adobe Flash? What is it?

Most the classes have audio and video features incorporated in them. The way these features are launched in your browser is through a Flash plug-in. To ensure best performance, it is important to have the latest version of Adobe Flash player installed. We also advise to get the latest version of Internet Explorer, or whatever your preferred browser may be.

FAQ / TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS

  1. Why did I get suddenly logged out of the class?
  2. I went through the entire class and passed the test but cannot print the affidavit. What do I do?
  3. I was not connected to a printer after I passed the test and could not print my affidavit. What do I do?
  4. How do I print another copy of my affidavit?
  5. There are no Forward and/or Back arrows. What happened?
  6. My browser suddenly closed. What happened?
  7. Video does not load. What should I do?

1. Why did I get suddenly logged out of the class?

Two things may have happened:
Your internet connection may have been too slow or may have been interrupted
The class hosting software may have timed you out due to a slow or interrupted internet connection

2. I went through the entire class and passed the test but cannot print the affidavit. What do I do?

The only way to print the affidavit is from the Congratulations page. There are different ways to get to this page (assuming you passed the test):
If you are still in the class module, click the Home (little house) button, click Resume button, then click the Next arrow on the Course Completion page, and click "Print Affidavit" on Congratulations page.
If you have exited the class, re-enter the class. A message will pop up asking if you want to go to your last viewed location--

  1. If you click Yes, it'll take you to the last page you were on. If this is the Congratulations page, click "Print Affidavit" button.
  2. If you click No, it'll take you to the class Home page; click Resume button, then click Next arrow on Course Completion page, and click "Print Affidavit" button on Congratulations page.

3. I was not connected to a printer after I passed the test and could not print my affidavit. What do I do?

4. How do I print another copy of my affidavit?

5. There are no Forward and/or Back arrows. What happened?

On some pages, the Forward and Back arrows are connected to audio or video features on the page (i.e. only when it's done playing do the buttons show up). If either of these features do not load properly, the arrows will not load either, which will prohibit the user from going to the next page. The following are suggestions that may help re(load) the pages properly:

Click the Home (little house) button, then click "Go To Last Viewed Page", which should bring up (reload) the exact same page again
Exit the class, re-enter, a message will pop up asking you if you want to go to the last viewed page. If you click Yes, it should take you to the page in question. If you click No, it should take you to the Home page. From there, click "Go To Last Viewed Page", which should bring up (reload) the page in question.
Check to see if you have the latest version of Adobe Flash player installed.

6. My browser suddenly closed. What happened?

One of the following things may have happened:

Your internet connection may have been too slow or may have been interrupted
The class hosting software may have timed you out
The class itself crashed / class hosting software may have experienced a glitch

If the problem is reoccurring, please check your internet connection speeds, and verify that you have the latest version of Adobe Flash player installed.

7. Video does not load. What should I do?

In most classes, videos have a video controller at the bottom. If the video does not start to play automatically, click the little Play triangle.

If there is no video controller present, try and reload the page by either:
Clicking the Back arrow, then the Forward arrow
Click the Home (little house) button, then click "Go To Last Viewed Page" button
Exit class completely, re-enter and either click Yes to go to last viewed page, or click "Go To Last Viewed Page" button on the class Home page.
